Cr Andy Richards
is passionate about making sure the future development of Armstrong Creek meets high standards, and ensuring it's integration with surrounding suburbs like Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Marshall, Mt Duneed, Connewarre and Barwon Heads.

Andy is also interested in developing new employment opportunities to ensure the city's prosperity into the future.

Andy’s main priorities on Council are:

• improving council services and infrastructure, including footpaths, bike paths, lighting, traffic calming and playgrounds;
• improving facilities at Barwon Heads Village Park;
• building a new kindergarten for the Barwon Heads community;
• bringing a council shopfront to southern Geelong;
• a new regional library for the Geelong CBD;
• improving public transport;
• a new education centre for the Geelong Botanic Gardens;
• developing the City’s social capital through helping it’s many service organisations and their volunteers.

Cr Richards is portfolio holder for Parks & Gardens and Transport & Infrastructure and is involved in the following Committees:
